During the night,
small stones gathered
on the expanse of pavement
between our school’s wings,
intriguing students and staff.
Small stones appear in the most unlikely places.
Perhaps a nudge to get the students writing small stones, or are they already?
They did write haiku some excellent haiku this week, but I didn’t call them “stones.” Hmmm… We might have to do something like that before the end of the year. Our school is technology rich, we could do it. There you go, giving me ideas, again. Thanks! Maybe the last few weeks of school. In the meantime, I could teach a few more short poetic forms.
